Apple M3 Max
It was time for a new computer, it had been about 6 years since my last new laptop. And I wanted one that would last a while, so I ended up adding to the standard specs.
I have been a fan of Apple equipment for a long time, and got into Linux in high school. This was pre-OSX. So when OS X came out and was not combining the ease of the Mac operating system with the command line and control of the *nix world. I knew I would own an Apple laptop or desktop for as long as I could.
I am always concerned about protecting my equipment so I bought a cover. The concern isn't the quality of the device, the all metal doesn't flex as much as some of my plastic with metal framed laptops. The concern it life and accidents. I carry my laptop in my backpack everyday, and want to protect my several thousand dollar computer.
